This is my second pair in recent months as
I love the comfort of these clogs and can change color with
wardrobe. I am vegetarian and enjoy the natural wool and
manmade fibers. I stand on my feet most all day along with
many of my library coworkers. I never complain of sore or
aching feet, or ask when can I sit down to rest my feet, and
I just had my 60th birthday this past summer. Having worn
Haflinger clogs for many years since buying a pair at a yard
sale in '95 I can attribute having healthy feet to good
support of these clogs. The old worn pairs I save for the
garden work and doing my run around stuff on the bicycle
with the greatest of ease.
I really need arch support, especially for my left foot,
which has plantar fasciitis. I have tried many different
shoes and have my favorites, like Dansko, Sofft, Born, etc.,
but the absolute best, and most comfortable, is this shoe. I
have had the same pair for 15 years, at least, and am going
to buy another pair because finally, the decoration is
coming off of the back. I hope they never stop making these.
I looked at the description and they referred to "divine
arch support" and they are not wrong.
I can't say that I have ever had a pair of shoes(57 years of
shoes) that brought so much pleasure. They are comfortable,
warm, easy to put on and take off. Next thing you know I
will be jogging in them. Seriously they are the most
comfortable shoes I have ever owned.
My pedorthist put me into Haflingers 2 years ago for around
the house. At first, they feel funny. That is because it
takes a few days for your foot to conform the cork to
itself. After that happens though, they are, without a
doubt, the most comfy and supportive house slipper you will
ever wear. Two thumbs up for them! PS--He also put me in a
smaller size than I regularly wear so that as the conforming
takes place, the shoes won't get too big.
I bought this style shoe a few years ago from a local store
to use as a slipper around the house. You see, I wear
othotics in my "outside" shoes and wanted a slipper that had
enough support so I would not have to use the orthotics
around the house. The Grizzley shoes were great as slippers,
provided the right amount of support, and I wore them until
my toes started poking out through wear holes at the top.
the Grizzleys arrived in only a couple of days and the price
was terrific. The new pair of Grizzleys were the exact same
size as the old pair. However, the new pair felt a bit
smaller than the original pair. I decided to keep them
because I knew they would eventually stretch out with use.
After a couple of weeks, the shoes are a fine fit. If I
reordered another pair, I would seriously consider going up
a half size to avoid the breakin and 'stretch time'. Other
than that, these are great shoes!
I'm very fond of this light-weight, cork-soled shoe. During
our winter months and cool spring season, I enjoy wearing
these boiled-wool clogs around the house as bedroom
slippers. Because these clogs are roomy enough to allow me
to wear wool socks, and the cork sole keeps me insulated
from the cold floor, my normally cold feet are kept toasty
warm. And because these "grizzlies" are not soft like
regular bedroom slippers, but are firm in shape, they allow
me to feel like I'm wearing shoes instead of sloppy
slippers. They are very long-wearing.
